New Social Media Team

We are happy to announce that we now have a new and better (hopefully) social media team starting September 2015. We hope our online presence would be better that before with this new 'team', which is just a single person, who is typing this post welcoming themselves to the company.

For the customers are still following our various social pages, I hope to serve you better with customer support, informations, product introductions etc.

Sleeping Tips

If you suffer from difficulty falling asleep/staying asleep (insomnia), follow these simple guidelines for a good night's sleep and a fresh morning.

  • Maintain regular bedtime & wake time.
  • Avoid caffine (tea, coffee, colas), alcohol and smoking.
  • Exercise regularly early in the day.
  • Avoid afternoon naps.
  • Do something relaxing before bedtime.
  • Keep bedroom comfortable, quite and dark while sleeping. Avoid excessive time in the bed. Ensure that the environment is natural and free from chemicals odour, fumes etc; that's used to kill mosquitoes (it is said to affect humans too). Use the most ancient (proven for centuries) now the latest, easiest, economical and yet 100% protection not just from mosquitoes but fnearly all biting, crawling insects.
  • Don't watch the clock if you can't fall asleep. Instead try any of the following that suits you/ your health....
  • Get up and read a book till you feel sleepy.
  • Breath deep in and out slowly and in a relaxed manner for about 20 cycles by which you would have gone asleep.
  • Do not think of what has happened - what's happened has happened the future is definitely brighter and full of opportunities. All you need is a good night's sleep to give you a fresh and clear mind for the bright day that's ahead.

If the problem persists most nights or you feel its due to some illness, please consult your doctor.

Sleep Disorders

"sleep disorder, or somnipathy, is a medical disorder of the sleep patterns of a person or animal. Some sleep disorders are serious enough to interfere with normal physical, mental and emotional functioning. Polysomnography is a test commonly ordered for some sleep disorders."
That is the definition for sleep disorders given in Wikipedia's Sleep Disorder Page. To put it even simpler than that, sleep disorder is any abnormality in an individual's sleeping patterns. This includes inability to fall asleep, inability to stay asleep, problems during sleep, oversleeping etc.

Though we simply use the phrase 'sleep disorders' as a collective, the disorders themselves are numerous and range from insomnia to narcolepsy to hypopnea to bruxism. Snoring, grinding teeth and shaking legs in sleep are not just some quirkiness of a person, they could be more than that.

Sleep disorders are known to be disastrous for relationships and the patient, even though most of the time they do not know that they have sleep problem. In recent years a new sub discipline called sleep medicine has evolved as part of clinical psychology all over the world. We can say that the awareness has grown in recent years and somnipathy is recognised as a health hazard. However, there are only about less than 200 psychologists in the entire world who specialise in sleep medicine. The internet has lots and lots and lots of information on anything for those who seek, but not all of them are credible.
We have tried to gather authentic information and post it here, so more posts on regarding sleep would follow. We recently realised that we have a few unregistered readers and we welcome any suggestion or information in this topic from them so we can post here. Send us links, articles, your own write-ups, anything. We would verify them and post it here. Send them to viewnetindia@gmail.com with "VIEWnet blog" as the subject. If you don't want your name and email id posted here, please mention that in the email. And if you know any expert in this field, please send us their contact details. We might invite them to co-author the blog.

Next post would simply be a copy-paste of the general sleeping tips from our website, because we are still working on insomnia. Till then, sleep well.

Contributions anyone?

Mosquitoes, mosquitoes  mosquitoes  Mosquito nets. Occasionally about other scientific news we tripped over online. This had been our Blog strategy from the beginning, which we found quite boring. Yes we are a mosquito net business, but who wants to keep on reading about mosquitoes alone? We found that extremely boring and wondered what our few readers would feel.

Sure there are amazing sources online about mosquitoes like Malaria World who are better authors than us. But we still want to give some quality post to our readers. So we request for sources to quality scientific articles that we can post about on our blog. We swear that your articles most probably would not gain any popularity for being featured here, but it would definitely be great to help other people learn.

So please to send us links to useful articles, or your own posts so that we could post about them here after a short review. Mail us to viewnetidia@gmail.com
